UCWS Sun Oct 14

October 14, 2012

Class Notes:
Ok, so today was the big CWS Ms Universe pageant and performing as the intermission entertainment.  The pageant ran long and there was only one class at 6 pm slt.  So, those of us at the pageant (Nyx, Janet and I) hung around to get photos of the winners and possibly shots during the competition.  Laylah had to leave the pageant to instruct the other students not at the pageant, allowing the rest of us to stay.  Later, when I did make it to class, they were already done.  So, I asked what I had missed and Laylah said not to worry, because it was Dome practice mainly.  She was confident I knew how to be fierce on the runway with pose sequences.  Wow!  What a unexpected compliment!  Laylah is so awesome and its fun to style and pose to the level she expects from me.

Class Outfit:
It's a MEB! You gotta feel special and I do! Love the offsetting colors, the splash of lipstick red against the warm neutral cream and brown pattern.  It's such an interesting, eye-catching fit and hard to pair shoes with it.  LOL!  That's the only thing about MEB... she does the whole outfit, including shoes... but sorry to say, her shoes... in the kindest way... lack panache.  I have so many shoes in my inventory that buying another pair was just not appealing for once.  Since I put the Alienbear white pearl set with the outfit, I knew I could prolly pull off white shoes even though the skirt was cream.  Yeah, so I pulled out my favoite, cute ankle boots and wore them!  After all, I thought I was going to be practicing Dome formation later.  Not!  LOL!  :))

Class Tour:
Today's UCWS tour features the student Beach stage from the audience perspective.  The real CWS Beach runway is used mainly for summer and beach fashions.  It has its own unique formation with each model following the other and performing the same poses at each stop.  When there are two models in the center, they turn their cameras toward themselves so they can watch the other model and sync poses.  It looks awesome for the audience.  It's a fun formation and easiest to learn.  Its the first fashion show formation learned in the UCWS curriculum and is a quick efficient way to learn timing (pose counting) and syncing with other models.
